Adding Oway as a Holder
When a carrier works with Oway, we need to be added as a certificate holder on the trucking company’s Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI). This ensures that Oway is informed if there are any changes or cancellations to the policy. Below we'll outline how you can add Oway to your COI:
1. Contact Your Insurance Provider: Reach out to your insurance agent. They are responsible for issuing the COI and making modifications as needed.
2. Provide Oway's Details: Share the Oway's legal name, address, and any specific language they require on the certificate. This ensures the COI is correctly issued.

Unit 86015
San Francisco, CA 94114
3. Request the Addition: Ask the insurer to add Oway as a certificate holder. This doesn’t grant the brokerage any rights under the policy but ensures they receive notifications about policy status.
4. Review the Certificate: Once updated, review the COI to confirm all details are accurate, including that Oway's information and the coverage terms.
5. Upload the Certificate: Upload the updated COI to the insurance section of Onboarding. The Oway team will review to make sure all details are correct.
This process helps build trust and ensures smooth operations between the trucking company and Oway, providing transparency and assurance regarding your insurance coverage.
